Played in every game, starting eight contests for the Southern Methodist Mustangs…Completed 169 of 331 passes (51.1%) for 1969 yards and nine touchdowns…Gained 175 yards with three touchdowns on 78 carries (2.2 avg)…Averaged 194.9 yards per game in total offense.

Kansas:-Ran for a 3-yard score and completed 14 of 25 passes for 164 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Texas-El Paso:-Gained a career-high 420 yards with two touchdowns on 22 of 45 attempts and ran for a 15-yard touchdown…Only Mike Romo (449 vs. Rice in 1990 and 450 vs. North Texas in 1989) threw for more yards in a game in SMU annals.

Tulane:-Completed 27 of 49 attempts for 264 yards.

Houston:-Gained 264 yards with a touchdown on 28 of 57 passes….His 57 attempts rank fifth on the school’s game-record list.

San Jose State:-Threw for 324 yards and a touchdown on 25 of 54 passes and rushed 12 times for 38 yards.

Tulsa:-Carried 9 times for 61 yards and a 28-yard touchdown, adding 157 yards on 14 of 19 passes, including a 17-yard score to Johnny Hampton.

All-American first-team selection by The NFL Draft Report, earning third-team honors from the Sports Network…One of sixteen players vying for the Walter Payton Award, given to the top performer in the NCAA Division 1-AA ranks…All-Southland Football League first-team and Player of the Year choice… Earned SFL Player of the Week honors vs. Jacksonville State and Southwest Texas State…Only the fifth passer in school history to throw for over 2000 yards in a regular season, as he led the league and ranked fourteenth in the nation in passing…Completed 259 of 429 passes (60.4%) for 3481 yards, 32 touchdowns and only 12 interceptions in thirteen games, topping the old school season-records of 168 completions for 2503 yards and 21 touchdowns by Chris Chaloupka in 1999 and 311 pass attempts by Lanny Dycus in 1984…His pass completion percentage of 60.4 is surpassed only by Chaloupka (62.0% in 1999)…Threw for over 300 yards in five of his last six contests…Third on the team with 112 carries for 351 yards (3.1 avg) and six scores…Averaged 294.77 yards per game in total offense.

Louisiana-Monroe:-Completed 17 of 31 passes for 188 yards and a 12-yard score to Jonnathon Cooper, adding a 41-yard touchdown run in his first game with the Bearkats.

Tarleton State:-Ran for a 2-yard score and completed 14 of 16 attempts (87.5%) for 224 yards, including 3 touchdowns.

Northern Illinois:-Threw for 318 yards on 25 of 38 attempts with a 6-yard score to tight end Keith Heinrich.

Mississippi Valley:-Threw touchdown passes of 7 yards to Brian Null and 29 yards to Cooper.

Northwestern State (La.):-Completed 20 of 27 passes for 167 yards and a 5-yard touchdown to Cooper.

Nicholls State:-Passed for 271 yards and 4 touchdowns on 18 of 29 passes, including 15, 10 & 42-yarders to Cooper as he also gained 62 yards with a 1-yard score on 13 rushes.

Stephen F. Austin:-Threw touchdown passes of 12 & 32 yards to Cooper and ran for 98 yards on 15 carries.

Montana (1-AA Playoffs):-Gained 344 yards on 30 of 50 passes.
